Movie 1. Development of the tracheal system of a btlGa4 UAS-tauGFP; 801 embryo from stage 14, focused on the DT and DBs. As development proceeds, branch integrity defects in the DBs are clearly observed. Cells of one of the DBs (arrow) begin to pull apart giving rise to cells abnormally separated and only attached to the stalk by a thin cytoplasmic extension. Finally, a cluster of cells detaches from the branch. Note the presence of floating cells around the tracheal system. These are likely to be macrophages.
