Fig. S1. Distribution of rotation angles in sev>DE-cadDN/*. The dominant enhancement of the sev>DE-cadDN rotation phenotype correlates with the strength of DE-cad/shg allele used. Rotation angles 0-80° represent under-rotated ommatidia. Angles 80-100° are counted as wild type. The increase in allelic strength is indicated by an increase in darkness in the grey shading (white: sev>DE-cadDN in wild type>black: sev>DE-cadDN over the null allele). In fully wild-type eyes, there is almost no variation in rotation angles (not shown). shgR6 represents homozygous escapers of the shgR6 genotype. stbm, dgo double mutants (burgundy bar) strongly enhance the sev>DE-cadDN phenotype.
