Fig. S2. Alas2 transcription is normal, but Band3 transcription is abnormal in Brg1fl/fl:Tie2-Cre+/0 primitive erythrocytes. (A-D) Cryosections from the same embryos depicted in Fig. 5A-H were subjected to in situ hybridization with probes against Alas2 and Band3. Whereas Alas2 transcripts were detected in almost all control and mutant primitive erythrocytes (A,B), mutant blood cells displayed a paucity of Band3 transcripts (D). Comparable results were obtained from in situ hybridization experiments performed on multiple sections of one other control and one other mutant embryo. The arrowhead in the inset (D) points to an embryonic blood cell with little or no detectable Band3 transcription. Scale bars: 40µm.
