About the Cover
Cover: The small GTPase Rho1 is expressed throughout oogenesis, as seen in this stage 5 egg chamber from a Drosophila ovary stained with a monoclonal antibody recognizing Rho1 (green) and phalloidin to label actin (red). Rho1 protein is ubiquitous but accumulates at particular subcellular structures such as the central junction between the nurse cells (center of image), while actin is especially abundant in the ring canals and overlying muscle sheath. For further details, see article by C. R. Magie, D. Pinto-Santini and S. M. Parkhurst in this issue, pp. 3771-3782.
