About the Cover
Cover: Circular reiteration of a confocal image of three hemisegments of the Drosophila heart region. Cells that express Mef2 (green) and Svp-lacZ (red) illustrate cell-type complexity in the heart. The single confocal image was reiterated six times in a circular manner to form a 'hex-sign' pattern. The image was then reduced sequentially twice to generate two smaller circles within the first.
