About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Drosophila ovarian polar cell pairs derive from groups of precursors that are polyclonal in origin and specific to the polar cell lineage. The final polar cell pair is selected during early oogenesis by an apoptosis-mediated mechanism. Green indicates a GFP-marked clone induced in the polar cell-stalk cell lineage, red indicates A101/neuralized-lacZ and white indicates nuclei. For further details, see article by F. Besse and A.-M. Pret, pp. 1027-1027.
